This week, and after months of designing, developing, and testing on one of our most innovative products to date, we unveil the curtains over a new era at Droplen. An era that defines our core commitment to a human-centered personalized experience, a strong value proposition for our dear professionals and most importantly staying relevant to the learning journey of our users.
Over the past year, Droplen introduced extremely needed features. We made meaningful calls, we chatted through messages, we appreciated time through thank you notes, we fulfilled our curiosity by asking questions, and it was all made possible with a seamless payment solution that is based on virtual points. Yet, with all these amazing tools one thing was missing, an experience that wraps it all.
Today we are delighted to share with you that experience, and we call it Droplen Channels.
What is a Droplen Channel?
Once you sign up as a Professional on Droplen, you get your own default personal channel pre-created for you and whoever follows you is automatically added to that channel.
What can I do with my channel?
Literally anything! From a text message update to a photo, video, or link attachment all the way to livestreams and payment invoices. You name it, and we have done it… or doing it. 🙂
Here’s a list of some of the major features that come with every channel:
- Broadcast Text Messages to followers
- Broadcast Photos to followers
- Broadcast Voice Notes to followers
- Video Livestream to all followers (including comments)
- Allow followers to call you for free (optional)
- Allow followers to message you privately for free (optional)
- Share hyperlinks to your work and invite people to your other channels on Droplen
Are channels considered group chats or a one-way communication?
As a professional, a Droplen Channel is your space to showcase your expertise and broadcast regular updates to your followers. When setting up your channel, you will be given an option to allow followers to send you privately or call you, yet still, the channel will always remain the place for you to shine.
Are Droplen Channels for free?
The basic personal channel is free for a lifetime, it’s a channel for you as a professional, an influencer, an expert, or even a world leader to gather your followers all in one place and keep them updated.
But does that mean you can’t get exclusive, private, and targeted paid channels? Of course, you can! For a limited time, each account can create multiple free and paid channels besides their personal one.
How do free and paid channels work?
Let’s say you’re a mobile application developer, a life coach, and a professional tennis player. The fact is, people following you on your personal channel can be there to hear about any of those 3 expertise. Then, you ask yourself:
Do I share my tennis accomplishments, my newly developed apps, or give life tips on my personal channel?
This is totally up to you. But, with Droplen channels, you can have your main channel along with supplementary channels for each expertise to engage meaningfully with every unique follower-base. Marketing-wise, it’s all about managing your leads and funnels and we love it!
What about paid channels? How do those work?
Well, that’s the beauty in disguise, isn’t it? Let’s state some facts:
Professionals are experts, and experts are extremely busy people. What do they most value? Time. Busy people need to manage their time with extreme efficiency while building sustainable long-term relationships that convert into a successful business. You aren’t online just to get followers, are you? You want to create value for others (and for yourself, too), this is why we offer paid channels.
With every paid channel, you are creating a targeted offering for a more concentrated number of followers. It can be a full course, a guideline thread of original detailed experiences, regular follow-up sessions, one-to-one coaching, you name it! The difference becomes monetization.
How do I monetize my paid channels?
When setting up your channel on Droplen, you will have the option to make it free or ‘paid’. Paid channels are as follows:
- One-time Paid Channels: Those are channels that followers will pay a once-in-a-lifetime payment to get access to it.
- Monthly Paid Channels: Those are channels that need a regular monthly subscription fee. If you pay for a month and then you no longer need to go on, you can opt-out and you will stop receiving any updates beyond your months of subscription.
Can everyone see all channels on my profile?
You can have two kinds of channels:
- Public Channels: Listed publicly on your profile.
- Invite-only Channels: Where followers can only join using an invite link you send them.
My channels have tons of messages inside. How can my followers keep up?
Thanks for asking. We’ve got you covered! For every channel, you will have the chance to add tags to your messages. Meaning that, if you want to specify welcome messages on your channel, you can add the tag “welcome” to those messages, and followers can filter them out by choosing the “welcome” tag from the top of your channel.
We can’t wait for you to try Droplen Channels and we welcome all kinds of feedback to make sure we provide you with the best experience possible. For feedback and support, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
